Yes. It's free to download and use, with no subscription or setup fee. We charge 0% on tips for your first 30 days, then 5% of each tip you receive. If you're not tipped, you pay nothing.
Are guests paying for the photos?
No. The photos are free for every guest, whether or not they tip. A tip is an optional thank-you for the tour itself, and nothing in the gallery is held back from guests who don't tip.
Do my guests need to download an app?
Never. Guests scan your QR code or open your link, and the gallery opens in their phone's browser. They can view and download full-quality photos, and tip you if they'd like to, without an app or an account.
How do I get paid?
Tips go straight to your own payment account with our payment provider, which you set up in the app in a few minutes. There's no GuideGallery wallet to empty and no withdrawal to wait for: our payment provider pays out to your UK or US bank account on its standard schedule.
What does a guest pay in fees?
Nothing on top. A guest who tips £5 pays £5. Card processing fees and, after your first 30 days, our 5% come out of the tip, and you see the net amount for every tip in the app.
Can a guest have a photo removed?
Yes. From the gallery, a guest can ask you to remove a photo. It's hidden straight away while you take a look, and every gallery deletes itself after 7 days. Guests can also reach us through our photo removal page.
What kind of guides is it for?
Any guide whose guests like to say thanks: free walking tours, food and drink, wine and brewery, bike, adventure and hiking, museum, boat and photo tours. If your guests would smile at a group shot of themselves, you'll do well here.
How long do galleries stay live?
7 days, then they're deleted. Guests see a countdown, and most download the same day or the next. Your originals stay on your phone.
Is it available in my country?
Guides in the UK and the US can sign up today, with payouts to UK and US bank accounts. The EU is next. Guests from anywhere can open a gallery. Join the list below and we'll email you when we launch where you guide.
